
Intel's second generation low cost platform codenamed Diamondville can be passively cooled. It comes in second half of 2008 and it will help you create the ultimate silent machine.
It is based on a new 45nm CPU that comes as a single and dual core and it targets the performance and power of basic PC and thin client market. The TDP of a CPU is from 4 to 8W.
The platform is powered by 945GC chipset and it comes with PATA and SATA support, DirectX 9 integrated graphics, six to eight USB slots and it supports SSD NV RAM memory.
It will sport a Vista Basic logo and it is scheduled for the second half of 2008.
