AMD plans two K10.5 45nm based quad cores and Deneb is the one with 6MB of L3 cache, but there will be a Propus core with the same specs but without any L3 cache.
It is natural to expect that the version without L3 cache has to end up cheaper and there is a chance to be smaller as well. It all depends of the fact will AMD simply disable the L3 cache of Propus or it will actually physically cut it out and make this K10.5 much cheaper.
The new Propus core will fit to existing AM2+ infrastructure and it is scheduled for second half of 2008. Deneb and Propus are the ones that might get some faster than 2.6GHz.
